Handwashing Stations
in Zebulon, NC.

Wake County health department rules drive event-side calls here. Mudcats game day food vendor areas, Main Street community events, and the broader Five County Stadium event cycle all need dedicated handwashing stations near every food line — the sanitizer dispenser inside a porta-potty isn't enough to meet code. On construction crews along NC-39 and US-64 Business subdivisions, we plan on one station per crew per 40-hour week when the crew is big enough that inspectors require it.

The ground in Zebulon

What placement
actually costs here.

Residential renovations, commercial builds, and municipal events all pull from the same yards.Zebulon is Wake County's easternmost incorporated town and one of the smallest city hubs we serve. The town's distinctive anchor is Five County Stadium — home of the Carolina Mudcats and the regional baseball venue serving Wake, Franklin, Nash, Johnston, and Wilson counties. On the residential side, Zebulon has grown steadily since 2010 but at a slower pace than Rolesville or Wake Forest. Much of the town still reads as rural eastern North Carolina with working farmland on the outskirts, and newer subdivisions have grown in off US-64 Business and NC-39.

Property mix

How the town is built

Zebulon sits where Wake County transitions into rural eastern North Carolina. Working farmland and large-lot rural homes make up more of the town than any other Wake municipality we serve. The historic Main Street area downtown carries 1900s-era homes on narrower lots where 16- and 20-yard dumpsters do the work. Newer residential subdivisions have grown in off US-64 Business and NC-39 since the mid-2000s but at a slower pace than the bigger Wake towns, with lighter HOA covenants than Wendell Falls or the Cary master-planned communities. On the commercial side, Zebulon runs the lightest commercial calendar of any Wake city hub we serve: the Main Street small-shop strip downtown, the US-64 Business retail, and Five County Stadium's event cycle handle most of our local work.

Access

How we get there

Zebulon runs from Smithfield (~30 min) or Mebane (~70 min)depending on that day's dispatch load. From either yard the way in is US-64 Business and US-264, then the residential streets through each neighborhood.

Permitting

Who signs what

Zebulon's permit situation reflects its rural-edge geography. More Zebulon lots sit outside the city sewer and water than in any other Wake town we serve — which means portable septic shows up on more Zebulon jobs than elsewhere, and some projects also involve well-and-septic considerations the owner already handles. On the town side, if your container needs to sit on the street or on public property, Zebulon Planning issues the permit — we pull it on your behalf. Driveway drops don't need any town paperwork. US-64 Business and US-264 run through town as state highways, so adjacent-to-highway placements add an NCDOT permit. Five County Stadium event drops coordinate with the stadium's own operations team on access and timing. Wake County disposal paperwork rides on our hauler credentials.
