- Hillsborough Historic DistrictColonial, Federal, and 19th-century buildings around Churton Street
- The historic district covering the downtown Churton Street area and the surrounding blocks — one of the deepest-preserved pre-Revolutionary districts in NC. Narrow lots, buildings often sitting directly on the street, mature trees overhead. The Hillsborough Historic District Commission runs a stricter preservation review than most towns we serve; we handle the submission on street-visible drops.
- Downtown Hillsborough commercialChurton + King Street storefronts
- The commercial blocks along Churton Street and King Street — independent retail, small-press and bookstore activity, restaurants, and Weaver Street Market on West King. Tenant renovation volume runs 20- and 30-yard dumpsters at loading-dock or planning-office-approved curbside placements.
- Historic residential outskirtsEarly-20th-century residential
- The early-20th-century residential blocks surrounding the pre-Revolutionary historic core. Standard lot widths and mature trees overhead. 16- and 20-yard dumpsters are the right fit for most driveways; preservation review applies on any street-visible drop whose site is inside the district overlay.
- Eno River / RiverwalkRiver-adjacent residential + park
- The residential pockets along the Eno River with Riverwalk following the bank. Smaller lots, some flood-plain restrictions on placement. Hillsborough's riverwalk-event setups (community festivals, Eno River events) route through here.
- North Hillsborough / I-85Commercial + newer residential
- The commercial and newer-residential area on the north side of town near I-85 Exit 164. Light industrial and retail commercial sit near the exit, with newer subdivisions filling in on the north and east edges of town. Any size dumpster we rent fits most of these driveways.
- US-70 Bypass south mixed-useMixed-use + newer commercial
- The mixed-use and commercial development on the US-70 Bypass south side of town. 20- and 30-yard dumpsters, loading-dock placement on larger retail work. US-70 is a state highway, so adjacent placements add a state DOT permit.
- Occoneechee Mountain approachesRural + large-lot residential + state natural area edge
- The rural residential and agricultural edge running west toward Occoneechee Mountain State Natural Area. Large lots and standard driveway widths. Some outer lots sit outside municipal sewer and need portable septic through framing.
