Handwashing Stations
in Wendell, NC.

Wake County health department rules drive event-side calls here. Wendell Falls amenity events and Main Street community events downtown both need dedicated handwashing stations near every food line — a porta-potty's built-in sanitizer won't pass food-line inspection. On construction crews inside Wendell Falls and the Marshburn Road subdivisions, we plan on one station per crew per 40-hour week when the crew is big enough that inspectors require it.

The ground in Wendell

What placement
actually costs here.

Residential renovations, commercial builds, and municipal events all pull from the same yards.Wendell's recent growth comes down to one development more than anything else — Wendell Falls, the master-planned community on the south side of town that's grown from a few hundred homes to several thousand over the past decade. The town itself is still small, with a historic Main Street area that reads as rural eastern Wake County. But Wendell Falls has reshaped the construction calendar: residential volume now runs on the subdivision phase schedule, not the small-town cycle it ran on fifteen years ago.

Property mix

How the town is built

Wendell Falls is the dominant residential story in Wendell. The master-planned community on the south side of town carries most of our new-build and renovation volume — wide driveways, any size dumpster fits, and the HOA rules shape the schedule more than driveway access ever does. The historic Main Street area downtown is a different story: 1900s-era homes on narrow lots where 16- and 20-yard dumpsters do the work, and street drops that need a Wendell Planning permit. Everything else is older rural residential spreading north and east toward the Johnston County and Nash County lines, with some newer builds off Marshburn Road. Commercial volume is light: the US-64 Business small-shop strip downtown and the US-64 Bypass retail area handle most of it.

Access

How we get there

Wendell runs from Smithfield (~30 min) or Mebane (~65 min)depending on that day's dispatch load. From either yard the way in is US-64 Business and US-64 Bypass, then the residential streets through each neighborhood.

Permitting

Who signs what

Wendell permits run on three different schedules depending on where in town your project is. Inside Wendell Falls — the master-planned community that holds most of the town's recent growth — your HOA covenants are the dominant paperwork, with written rules on container type, visibility, and timing that we read before we deliver. In the historic Main Street area and the older residential blocks, the Wendell Planning Department issues the standard street permit if your container needs to sit on the street or on public property — and we handle the submission for you. Driveway placements don't trigger it at all. On the US-64 Business and US-64 Bypass commercial strips, that's state highway land, so anything that touches the right-of-way adds an NCDOT permit. The county disposal side sits on our hauler credentials.
