How the town is built
The dominant Fuquay-Varina job is a bare-lot build on land that was cropland a year ago. New subdivisions off Sunset Lake Road, Judd Parkway, and the NC-55 corridor south — South Lakes, Kenneth Branch, and the newer builds on either side of NC-42 — sit on wide staging with room for any container size, and the schedule constraint is the utility-tap date rather than the access. The two historic downtowns work differently: Main Street in Fuquay Springs around the old depot and Mineral Spring Park, and Broad Street in Varina about a mile northeast, both carrying narrow historic parcels, older driveways, and the same town right-of-way rules if the container ends up on the street. The town's still-rural western and southern edges — parcels off Old US-401 South and along Christian Light Road — run the septic-holding jobs where the municipal sewer main hasn't reached yet, and that stretch is the reason portable septic gets ordered here more often than in any other Wake town we serve.
