How the town is built
Angier's property mix is split cleanly between the historic small-town core and the twenty years of commuter residential that's filled in around it. The historic blocks along and near Broad Street carry early-twentieth-century homes on narrow-to-standard lots. The mid-century residential surrounding downtown runs standard driveways. The north-side and east-side subdivisions — commuter residential driven by Wake County spillover pushing south of Fuquay-Varina — carry wide driveways and active HOAs. On the commercial side, downtown Broad Street handles the small-shop and brick-storefront volume, the US-401 strip runs the newer roadside commercial, and the agricultural edge west toward Lillington still carries farmland and large-lot rural homes.
